Building Leaders, Not Just Payrollers

If you’re only paying your staff and nothing else, you’re not building people, you’re actually hurting them.

And let’s be honest: if the only reason you show up to work is for the paycheck, you're kind of wasting your life.

I know, this might sound a bit harsh, but stick with me.

Way too many business owners are just growing payrollers, not actual builders. You give your team their salary, but you keep them in the dark when it comes to understanding the bigger picture of how the business actually works.

You train them to clock in and out, but you don’t teach them how to create real value or think like an owner.

At Betel's, I made a commitment: I will not raise team members who are just living for a paycheck. I’m here to raise thinkers, creators, and multipliers.

I want people who can take initiative, own their results, and care about the company’s future like it's their own—because in reality, it is.

If your team is just waiting for you to bring in the ideas, the money, or the vision, your business is sitting on a ticking time bomb. One day, you won’t be there, and that’s when it will hit you: you’ve raised followers, not business leaders.

So, don't be careless with the minds you're leading. Expose them to the full picture. Teach them.

Show them how money is made, how decisions are made, how systems work. Let them see the business side of the business, not just the tasks they’re assigned.

This is the wisdom that builds businesses that last beyond us.

And that's how I’m building people who can build anything.
