Yesterday evening, VDM took an emergency flight from Abuja to Lagos to join Sir Allen Onyema, the Chairman of Air Peace, and officials from NAPTIP in welcoming over 70 trafficked Nigerian girls returning from Ivory Coast.
As a concerned citizen, VDM has used his platform to raise awareness about human trafficking, which brought about collaborations with Sir Allen Onyema and NAPTIP.
According to VDM, Sir Allen Onyema provided an Air Peace aircraft free of charge to bring these victims home safely. In doing so, he incurred significant financial losses of over ₦300 million, due to delays in the girls' travel schedule. In addition, he covered the cost of medical checkups for all the victims.
NAPTIP also fulfilled its role by ensuring these girls were located and safely repatriated.
To the naysayers, why do you hate VDM and what he stands for? Why do you despise someone who speaks up for the common man? Why do you oppose the work he does to protect and uplift vulnerable Nigerians?
