This year’s event focused on specially celebrating the impact of Congolese pro-Basketballer #DikembeMutombo 🕊️with various compelling tributes and speeches from #theBAL and #NBAAfrica Some key announcements made during event include: - The Dikembe Mutombo Humanitarian Award. It will honor people and groups yearly who do good for others in Africa. - The NBA in Africa will give 55 basketball courts to communities in Africa to honor Dikembe Mutombo and his jersey number. - The new courts are part of a bigger plan. The NBA in Africa wants to build 1,000 courts in Africa over the next ten years. #BellaNaijaTakesNBA
