• Shameful Tribalism!” — Do2dtun Roasts Whitemoney Over Flavour Comment At 17th Headies

Nigerian media personality, Oladotun Ojuolape Kayode, popularly known as Do2dtun, has criticized reality TV star Whitemoney over his tribal remarks during the 17th Headies Awards ceremony.

According to reports, during the event held at the Eko Convention Centre in Lagos on Sunday, Whitemoney, while receiving the Afrobeats Single of the Year award on behalf of singer Flavour, stated that he was accepting it “on behalf of the Igbos.”
The comment sparked backlash from viewers who accused him of introducing tribalism and limiting Flavour’s fanbase to only the Igbo people.

Reacting via his handle, Do2dtun condemned Whitemoney for bringing ethnic sentiments into what should have been a unifying moment, emphasizing that Flavour’s victory was a win for all Afrobeats lovers.

  • Former Big Brother Naija (BBN) Housemate and Nollywood actress, Bamike Olawunmi-Adenibuyan, popularly known as BamBam, has shared her recent encounter with a Nigerian police officer who stopped her.

The BBNaija star took to X to narrate how she was forced to get out of her car, she described it as "inappropriate and forceful". And the policeman also asked her to show him "love" (meaning to give him money).

She added that citizens should feel safe, not uncomfortable at the sight of police officers.

She wrote: "Just wrapped up from a movie set, heading home, and Nigerian police stopped us for no reason, forced us to step down only to start begging for money. What kind of nonsense is this? If we refused, what would they have done?

"He was a bit inappropriate and forceful. I came down and greeted him, he asked if I was okay, and I said I was fine just tired. He said “Show me love now” he could have asked from the car window, but my assistant and I were down, we couldn’t drive off so I was forced to give something.''

BamBam said, that asking and demanding are two different things, feeling entitled about your money and tipping because they were respectful and actually doing their job are two different things.

Recall that BamBam was featured in the movie ''Love in Every Word'', which has been trending across the media and has had views across Africa.

  • “I Deposited N550 Million at First Bank Abiriba Branch to Keep It in My Community”—Businessman Dr. Agbai Eke Agbai

Renowned businessman Dr. Agbai Eke Agbai has revealed that he deposited N550 million into a fixed deposit account at First Bank’s Abiriba branch in response to an appeal by the bank’s former Group Managing Director. His intention was to ensure that the branch remained operational in his community.

“I deposited that money into a fixed deposit account, with a certificate issued to me by First Bank, based on an appeal from the former Group Managing Director. This was done to prevent the bank from being removed from Abiriba,” he stated.

However, upon his return to Nigeria, Dr. Agbai was met with an alarming discovery.

“I went to First Bank in Abuja to make a withdrawal, only to find out that N55 million had been withdrawn from my account by bank officials. They claimed that I personally made the withdrawals at their Uzuakoli Road branch in Umuahia, but at that time, I was not even in the country,” he explained.

Following an internal review, bank officials admitted to the unauthorized withdrawal and refunded the money. However, this incident raised serious concerns for Dr. Agbai, prompting him to take action.

“That was when I started sensing trouble. When I officially requested to close my fixed deposit account, I was shocked to be informed that my N550 million was nowhere to be found,” he revealed.
