  • SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT .

The only survivor of the Indian flight of yesterday Mr. Ramesh Viswaskhumar is not a Christian nor a Muslim etc . He practiced Hinduism. They worship various gods like Shiva, Brahma, and Vishnu.

Brahma: The creator god, responsible for bringing the universe into existence.

Vishnu: The preserver god, who maintains cosmic order and protects the universe.

Shiva: The destroyer and transformer, responsible for the dissolution of the universe to pave the way for recreation.

They refer to these gods as the Trimurti( trinity) like Christians say trinity too but differently.

Remember I posted once that your religion is based on where you were born ( locality).

That is why we must be careful and not judge. Believe in yours.

  • BREAKING:
The Alliance of SAHEL States (AES) has introduced its national anthem, marking a significant milestone in the establishment of a borderless nation comprising Burkina Faso, Niger, and Mali. This integration enables the free movement of people and businesses, supported by a single, unified army. The three heads of state simultaneously launched and sang the AES national anthem. As an African, do you think the AES embodies the future and the principles that Africans stand for?

  • Are Brands Shortchanging The Southeast?

We pride ourselves on having a large market in the Southeast. Numbers and statistics support this claim. When I was in the telecom industry, Onitsha was a big revenue center for the telcos.

However, we cannot say that brands benefiting from the huge Southeast market have shown enough good faith in their social investments decision-making and this is baffling.

Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt usually receive a large chunk of corporate sponsorships from major Nigerian brands, to the neglect of the Southeast market, which can be likened to the goose that lays the golden egg.

We once had MTN as the title sponsor of Enugwu-Ukwu Igu-Aro and the other associated festivals. That relationship stopped and no other brand has bothered to throw their muscle behind the rich cultural fest. Globacom sponsors the Onitsha Ofala Festival. However, other brands are yet to step in as co-sponsors to help blow the festival the same way they have done with the Ojude Oba festival in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun state.

These fliers are just a few examples of how other brands have helped to activate the Ojude-Oba festival.

Organizing world-class festivals requires a lot of resources which only brands can provide. We people of the Southeast are demanding more from brands that are generating tons of revenue from the Southeast. Fair is fair.

We are simply asking for a re-think of the corporate social investments (CSI) strategies of major Nigerian brands to also favour the Southeast which also generates the revenues for them.

The argument that insecurity in the Southeast is one of the reasons why brands chose to stay away from CSI investments is not completely true. Insecurity may have impacted social life but people are still making calls and using data in the Southeast so the telcos can’t complain. On the Mondays of sit-at-home, I can bet that data and call usages increase as people idle away at home. On weekends, and even weekdays, bars and nightclubs are still banging so beverage companies are smiling. The financial services sector is thriving despite the security challenges. POS operators are almost lined up inch after inch in our communities. Banks are still declaring trillions of Naira in profits.

During festive periods such as Easter, New Yam, and Christmas seasons when these festivals take place. It’s choc-a-block and bumper-to-bumper traffic in the Southeast. So a bit more CSI gaze towards the Southeast by the brands won’t be a bad idea. The tokenism approach should be discarded because it’s good business for them.

  • You bought a Ram at N40,000 and you told your friend it's N60,000. Your friend went to same ram market and same ram size. He was told to bring N55,000 and he paid. To him, it is cheaper than yours not knowing you mislead him to pay additional N15,000.

This is how we are responsible for inflating prices of goods and services out there. What will you lose when you tell someone that the Ram you bought is N40,000 not N60,000?

Sometimes, we are the architects of our problems.
Let's reflect and have a rethink.

  • The EU imposed sanctions on Russia for three years - yet Russia stood firm. It didn’t collapse. It adapted.

But here’s the twist: while Russia can survive without the EU, the EU and even the U.S. can’t thrive without Africa and Asia … or Russia.

    Think about that.

They fear Russia, not because it’s weak, but because it’s too resilient.

And they know that Africa holds the keys to the future.

The balance of global power is shifting.

Some believe VDM intentionally posted that video to prove a point to those who call him gãy.
A few others still think the person on the bed could still be a man

  • He didn’t toast you. You toasted yourself. Now you’re crying, “Men are scum”?

    Let’s talk, sister to sister.

You just got into school—a fresher, shining like hot jollof rice.

You don’t even know the full name of your HOD. You’re still asking people, “Please, where is LT 3?”

But just because one cute guy with a nice wristwatch mistakenly said “hi,” your heart started beating like a Beyoncé track.

You immediately started calculating the colours of your bridesmaids’ dresses.

    Let’s replay the scene:

You saw him during orientation. He didn’t even notice you. But you made sure to walk past him twice.

    The second time, you smiled.

Did he ask for your name?
    Did he say “hello”?

    No.

But guess who went to meet him after fellowship like she was sent on a divine mission?

“Hi, I’m Favour. Department of Medicine.”

    Madam… nobody asked you.

You dropped your full CV like you were applying for a wife position.

Now you’re already following him on Instagram, liking 14 of his posts back-to-back like an unpaid data analyst.

Then he gives you small attention and boom—you can’t sleep. You can’t eat. Your journal now reads:
“Dear Holy Spirit, I think he’s the one…”

    My sister, let’s be honest.

You know you’re emotional. You know your heart is soft.
You know once you start liking someone, your brain enters flight mode.

Your assignment will be in front of you, but all you can see is his smile.

Now let’s say tomorrow he starts acting funny.
    He starts ghosting you.
Next thing, you run to WhatsApp and post:
    “All men are the same.”

    But hold on a minute...

    Did he ever approach you?
Did he tell you he was looking for a wife?
Or did you rush yourself into unnecessary heartbreak because you couldn’t sit with your emotions and focus on your goals?

Let me be real with you:

Not every fine boy is your future.
Some are just distractions in fine packaging.

You came to school to study, grow, and evolve—not to turn into Romeo’s personal assistant.

This is your training ground. You’re supposed to be building discipline, character, and vision.

If you don’t learn emotional stability now, you’ll end up crying your way through every season of your life.

    Because guess what?

There’ll always be a fine guy.
But not every fine guy is aligned with your purpose.

So, please—stop using your own hand to press heartbreak into your life.

Nobody broke your heart—you broke your focus.
Nobody ghosted you—you ghosted your sense.

    Pursue purpose.
    Build genuine friendships—not obsessions.
Control your emotions before your emotions control your destiny.

And next time your heart starts dancing just because someone greeted you?

    Drink cold water.
    Open your books.
    And whisper to yourself:

Not today, Satan. I have exams.

  • I refused to settle for a life of clapping from the sidelines—praising politicians and their privileged children while doing little for my own development. I chose instead to invest in myself. Not for show, not for applause, but because I believe in personal growth, global exposure, and staying ready for whatever the future holds.

While many remain stuck in cycles that favor the powerful and their inner circles, I decided to chart my own course. I got a second address. I pursued an international degree. These weren’t status symbols—they were strategic moves to align with a world that rewards preparation and reinvention.

In countries where leadership often looks inward—protecting their own while the rest struggle—it becomes clear: no one is coming to save you. You have to build yourself—educationally, financially, mentally, and emotionally—to stay ahead. That’s not ambition; it’s survival.

Real growth isn’t just about stamps in your passport or diplomas on your wall. It’s about stretching your thinking, building resilience, acquiring new tools, and learning how to thrive in unfamiliar territory. That’s where real value lies—in your ability to adapt, lead, and create impact wherever you are.

Staying comfortable is risky. Today’s “secure” can vanish tomorrow. The only lasting safety net is growth. So take the leap. Read. Travel. Study. Evolve. The world is shifting fast—and it favors those who move with it.

  • Meta Reportedly Threatens to Restrict Access in Nigeria Over $220 Million Fine

There’s tension brewing between Meta (owners of Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp) and the Nigerian government!

Following the massive $220 million fine imposed on Meta by Nigeria’s Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) for alleged violations of data privacy laws, reports are now suggesting that Meta is considering restricting or shutting down access to its platforms in Nigeria as a form of pushback.

The Platforms host millions of Nigerian users daily for business, social connection, and communication.

And it could go dark if the situation escalates.

    The Nigerian government claims Meta:

    Violated user privacy rights

Shared user data without proper consent

Gave Nigerian users fewer protections than users in other regions

Meta has rejected the fine and is expected to appeal, but the possibility of platform shutdowns or restrictions raises serious concerns for businesses, creators, and everyday users.

This could affect everyone using WhatsApp, Facebook, or Instagram in Nigeria.

Do you think Meta is overreacting?
Is the Nigerian government finally standing its ground on digital rights?

    Let’s discuss

  • Starting something new is hard. Really hard. Not because we lack skills or passion—but because fear shows up, loudly and often.

When I think back to every new beginning in my life, one thing was always present: fear.

I felt it when I got accepted to study Nursing—what if I wasn't good enough?
I felt it when I wrote my first book—what if no one read it?
I felt it when I launched my businesses—what if they failed?
Even running a Facebook ad made me pause—what if it flopped?

And when I finally decided to show up online, to build my personal brand and speak up? That took me over two years of wrestling with doubt. I was scared people wouldn’t listen. That my content would flop. That I’d run out of ideas. That I’d start strong but fizzle out.

That fear didn’t whisper. It shouted.

And worst of all, I didn’t have much encouragement from others when I was just starting. So I had to push myself, dig deep, and find the fire within.

Here’s the thing no one tells you: the fear doesn’t vanish before you start. It fades after you begin. With each step forward, confidence grows. You find your rhythm. Your voice gets clearer. It all starts to make more sense.

No, things might not go perfectly at first—but they start moving. And movement is what makes the difference.

So if you’re scared? That’s okay. Start anyway.

Fear is just an emotion. It’s not the truth. You don’t have to wait for it to disappear before you act.

You’ve got what it takes. I’m cheering you on.
