The National Opposition Coalition Group, led by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and ex-Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has formally applied to the Independent National Electoral Commission for the registration of a new political party—the All Democratic Alliance.

The formation of ADA, backed by some other key political heavyweights, including former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi and Umar Ardo, convener of the League of Northern Democrats and former aide to President Olusegun Obasanjo, seeks to capitalise on mounting public dissatisfaction and political realignments to stop President Bola Tinubu at the next poll.

El-Rufai said, “Anybody that thinks it is possible for President Bola Tinubu to get re-elected is living in another country, not Nigeria. It is impossible for Bola Tinubu to get re-elected. I don’t see a pathway for him." “It is greedy and hungry politicians and those that are looking for money, contract, appointment, office that are defecting,” he added.

President Bola Tinubu will go down in Nigeria history, democratically as the most reckless, financially wasteful, with an appetite for borrowing, yet nothing to show for it.

Tomorrow will mark 2 years he removed subsidy, the only thing Nigerians enjoyed from the government under the guise of saving and prudence.

Where the subsidy money running into trillions of Naira goes into, we don't know, all we see is opposite, which is borrowing, borrowing ,borrowing in Dollars, Pounds, Euro, Yen and very soon, he will go for Cedis.

Jagagban is steadily becoming a borrowing master.

There are rumors suggesting that Vice President Osinbajo may work with Atiku Abubakar in the 2027 presidential election. Although these speculations are circulating, they have not yet been confirmed by Osinbajo.

If this coalition materializes, it could become one of the strongest alliances in Nigerian politics, given the prominent figures involved. Should their plans succeed, it may result in Tinubu being unseated in 2027.

Additionally, the Labour Party's caretaker committee has granted Peter Obi the go-ahead to negotiate with the coalition party.

The Labour Party (LP) national caretaker committee, led by Senator Nenadi Usman, has expressed its support for the party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, in engaging in ongoing coalition discussions with various opposition leaders in the country.

Even if the Labour Party did not officially back Peter Obi, I believe he will still join the coalition, as that is the only way to unseat Tinubu in 2027.

As I mentioned before, many politicians are considering switching parties and are simply waiting for the coalition to be finalized.

The governor of Benue State has already hinted at his willingness to join the coalition, and it seems likely he will do so.

In 2027, Peter Obi could emerge as our new president or vice president under this new coalition party—mark my words.

As a political journalist, I have a clear understanding of the current dynamics. The APC is also facing internal crises, and it is possible that Shettima may not return as vice president in 2027.
